The Reina Sofía Museum Celebrates International Museum Day with a Unique Event
On 22nd May 2026, the iconic Reina Sofía Museum will transform into a vibrant musical stage, welcoming over twenty artists for a day dedicated to live music. This event, organised by Radio 3 in collaboration with Acción Cultural Española, promises to be an unforgettable experience for art and culture lovers.
Starting from 09:00 hours, the Patio of the Nouvel Building will open its doors to welcome attendees wishing to enjoy a day full of concerts. The programme will run until 22:00 hours, offering uninterrupted performances across various musical genres. Visitors will be able to access the event free of charge, until capacity is reached.
Among the artists featured in the lineup are well-known names such as Zahara, La Pegatina, Queralt Lahoz, and many more. This variety ensures that there will be something for every taste, from festive rhythms to intimate melodies.
It will not only be a feast for those attending in person; the event will also be broadcast live via Radio 3 and RTVE Play, allowing those unable to be present to enjoy it from home. The museum's social media will complement this digital experience, ensuring that the music reaches every corner.
