Madrid's nightlife is confirmed as one of the major tourist attractions this summer. According to a survey by Noche Madrid, 64% of visitors arriving in the Community choose the region for its nightlife, which also receives an average score of 8.6 out of 10 from 85% of users.
The data has been released as part of the 'Madrid Open for Holidays' campaign, integrated into the 'Nightlife in Greater Madrid' tourism promotion project, developed by the association in collaboration with the regional government. The aim is to strengthen the image of the capital as a city with vibrant and varied nightlife, offering cultural, musical, and leisure venues for both locals and national and international visitors.
The study also details tourist spending: an average of €90 per night. 61.9% claim they will spend more than €50 each time they go out, and 28.6% expect to exceed €100. This expenditure includes dinners, concerts, shows, and entry to nightclubs and clubs.
The most valued aspects by visitors are the atmosphere (53.2%), followed by safety (47.6%), the quality of venues (46.8%), and ease of getting around (41.3%). Among the preferred experiences, dancing in a nightclub or club, at 76.2%, is ahead of having drinks in bars or terraces (61.9%), listening to live music (50.8%), and going out for dinner (41.3%).
The survey also reflects tourists' perceptions of major events: 62.9% believe that musical residencies like those of Bad Bunny or Shakira benefit the image of Madrid's nightlife. Festivals are the preferred events for 45.2%, followed by the city's tourist success (40.3%) and the opening of new clubs (36.6%), which tie with the celebration of the Madrid Formula 1 Grand Prix.
For local residents, this data confirms that the nightlife offering not only attracts visitors but also consolidates Madrid as a reference destination during the summer months. The 'Madrid Open for Holidays' campaign will remain active throughout the summer season to promote the nightlife of the capital and its surroundings.
