A new leadership for Madrid's nightlife

The Association of Leisure and Entertainment Entrepreneurs, known as Noche Madrid, has taken a significant step by appointing Alejandro Zamarro as its new president. With over 20 years of experience in the sector, Zamarro faces the exciting task of leading an association that represents more than 1,700 venues in the Community of Madrid.

Since his election in March, Zamarro has made it clear that his priorities are to strengthen security and consolidate the international status of nightlife in Madrid. In a recent interview on the Km0 programme on esRadio, he highlighted that the city has been recognised as the best in the world for enjoying nightlife, thanks to its quality and diversity.

Zamarro emphasised that the quality and safety standards of Madrid's nightlife are comparable to those of iconic cities like Las Vegas or Berlin. This recognition not only highlights Madrid's tourist appeal but also underscores the economic importance of the sector. “Last year, international forums awarded us the title of the best night in the world,” he stated.

Under his leadership, Noche Madrid is driving strategic initiatives such as the Nightlife in Greater Madrid campaign, as well as projects focused on sustainability, including the Sustainable Leisure Club. These actions aim not only to promote nightlife but also to establish responsible practices within the sector.

Zamarro has also initiated dialogues with representatives from the City Council and the Community of Madrid to address crucial issues related to capacity, sound insulation, and legal security. The goal is to clearly establish the rights and obligations within the sector, thus ensuring that the prestige associated with Madrid's nightlife is maintained.

As Noche Madrid moves forward under this new direction, its role as a strategic reference for both tourism and the local economy is reaffirmed. The association continues to work tirelessly to ensure that Madrid remains an attractive destination not only for residents but also for international visitors seeking a unique nightlife experience.
