The City Council of Coslada has approved an ambitious asphalt plan that will invest five million euros in improving 275,000 square meters of roadway. This initiative aims to increase road safety and accessibility throughout the city.

This project will cover approximately 275,000 square meters and aims to improve both road safety and circulation conditions for vehicles and pedestrians. The renewal will not be limited to asphalt alone, but will also include the updating of horizontal signage, representing a significant step towards a safer and more accessible infrastructure.
The responsible council has highlighted that this action is part of a larger effort, as it adds to the two hundred thousand euros already executed in recent months and another 1.7 million allocated to renewing the pavement in industrial areas, a project that concluded last November. In total, during this legislative term, the City Council will have invested nearly nine million euros in roadway-related improvements.
As the plan progresses, both major traffic arteries and residential streets will benefit. Among the included roads are important avenues such as Constitución, España, and Príncipes de España. Additionally, necessary repairs will be made to address subsidence and other existing pavement damage.
Not only will the asphalt layer be renewed; access points will also be adapted, and intersections and curbs will be improved to facilitate pedestrian transit. Sidewalks will receive minor interventions where necessary, as well as suitable platforms for bus stops.
The complete replacement of both horizontal and vertical signage will be another priority of the project, especially at those points where the current state shows a high level of deterioration. This attention to detail is essential to ensure a safe experience for all road users.
