An event that transcends borders

On Sunday, June 7, the Movistar Arena in Madrid will be the stage for a unique event under the motto "Weaving networks with the world of culture, education, business and sport." This meeting, presided over by Pope Leo XIV, aims to create a space for the exchange of ideas between the Church and various sectors of civil society. From 17:00 to 19:00, a massive turnout is expected to reflect the importance of intersectoral dialogue.

The Archdiocese of Madrid has designed a programme that combines artistic performances with personal testimonies. Among the featured artists is Antonio Banderas, who will share his vision on how his religious beliefs have influenced his professional career. The renowned dancer Sara Baras will also be part of the event, contributing her talent to this cultural day.

The academic field will be represented by José María Coello de Portugal, Vice-Rector for Planning at the Complutense University of Madrid, who will address the relevance of education in personal development. Additionally, union leaders such as Pepe Álvarez, General Secretary of UGT; Unai Sordo, General Secretary of CCOO; Antonio Garamendi, President of CEOE; and Ángela de Miguel, President of Cepyme, will participate in panels that will emphasize the urgent need to establish strong alliances to face current economic challenges.

Not only culture and the economy will have a voice; sport will also be heard. Olympic champion Carolina Marín, along with Paralympic swimmer Teresa Perales, will talk about how sport can be a powerful tool for fostering social inclusion and hope. Their inspiring stories will resonate with all attendees, underscoring that every effort counts.

Closing this significant event will be singer-songwriter Rozalén, who will perform some of her most emblematic songs. Her music will serve as a reminder of the transformative power of art and will leave those present with a clear message: there are always reasons to keep hope alive.
