An event that combines illusion and social commitment
From 27th to 29th March, Madrid will become the epicentre of magic and solidarity with the celebration of Magic for Benin, a festival aimed at raising funds for the education of vulnerable children in Benin. This event, now in its 16th edition, will take place at the Auditorium of the Higher Technical School of Industrial Engineers at the Polytechnic University.
Throughout the festival, attendees will be able to enjoy a series of shows designed for the whole family, lasting approximately one and a half hours. The participating magicians will offer performances ranging from visual magic to grand illusions, ensuring laughter and amazement. Additionally, this year will feature a special participation: the very children benefiting from the project will share their stories through virtual connections.
Since its inception in 2010, Magic for Benin has managed to gather over 13,500 spectators, raising nearly 194,000 euros. These funds are vital to finance not only schooling but also the daily upkeep of children taken in by Messengers of Peace in Cotonou. The initiative has grown thanks to the joint effort of professional magicians and volunteers committed to this cause.
This edition will feature renowned magicians such as Luis Olmedo, Jandro, Javi Rufo, Adrián Vega, and Álex Gilabert. The presentation will be handled by media personalities like Marta Reyero and Roberto Vara, who will bring their charisma to the event.
The performances are scheduled for Friday 27th at 20:00, Saturday 28th at 17:00 and 20:00, and Sunday 29th at 12:00, 17:00 and 19:00. Tickets start at 18 euros, allowing a wide audience to participate in this noble cause.
All proceeds obtained during the festival will be entirely allocated to educational projects in Benin. Thanks to the support received each year, dozens of children have access to a dignified education that provides them with better opportunities for their future.
