Petrol stations in the Community of Madrid offer very competitive prices, with significant differences that allow drivers to save when refuelling. This Wednesday, prices vary notably between stations.

Madrid drivers can benefit from significant savings when filling up their tanks this Wednesday, thanks to price variations at petrol stations in the region. According to data from the Ministry for Ecological Transition, differences of up to 15 cents per litre have been recorded between different stations, which can translate into considerable savings over the month. In Alcalá de Henares, for example, the lowest price for 95 E5 petrol is found at SUPECO, where it is offered at €1.309/l. This same rate is matched by other stations such as GASEXPRESS and ALCAMPO. On the other hand, diesel A also presents competitive prices at these same locations.

As fuel prices continue to fluctuate, it is crucial for motorists to be informed about where to find the best rates. In Alcobendas, the cheapest price for 95 E5 petrol is €1.359/l, available at the COMBUS station. The differences affect not only petrol; diesel A also shows significant variations. In Fuenlabrada and Getafe, for example, prices range between €1.349/l and €1.429/l.

Apart from the immediate savings when refuelling, these changes reflect a broader trend towards increased competition among local petrol stations. Historically, there has been a steady increase in the number of stations offering discounts and special promotions to attract customers. This has led to greater price transparency and allowed consumers to choose more economical options.

However, not all petrol stations are the same. In areas like Aranjuez and Alcorcón, attractive rates can also be found: in Aranjuez, E.LECLERC stands out with a price of 95 E5 petrol at €1.349/l. Meanwhile, Alcorcón offers similar options with prices around €1.359/l.

As we enter summer and road trips increase due to family holidays and short getaways out of the city, many drivers are likely to seek to maximise their budget. The difference of a few cents may seem minimal at first; however, when considering a full tank or several refuels during a long trip, those savings can add up quickly.

Despite these opportunities to save money when refuelling today in Madrid and its surroundings, it is advisable to check mobile apps or specialised websites that compare updated prices before heading out.
