A new opportunity to acquire vehicles and machinery
The Madrid City Council has taken a step forward in managing its municipal assets by launching an electronic auction that promises to attract numerous interested parties. This initiative, which includes around 200 lots, offers an impressive variety of vehicles, from motorcycles to heavy machinery, all at prices starting from 80 euros.
The auction is being managed by International Auction Group (IAG), a recognised company in the field of public auctions. Interested parties can place their bids entirely online, with a deadline extending until 7 May. To participate, users must visit the official website: iagauction.com/es.
Those wishing to evaluate the assets before making a bid have the option to visit the facilities set up in Loeches. Specific days have been scheduled where potential buyers can see the vehicles in person, which is crucial for making informed decisions.
All available units have been carefully prepared for sale. This includes the removal of any identifying elements from the City Council, such as vinyls or official signage, thus ensuring that each lot is ready for a new owner without administrative ties.
This is not the first time the Madrid Council has organised such events; this is already the second auction of the year and the sixth since this system was implemented in 2025. In the first call of the year, over 1,300 bidders actively participated, resulting in the awarding of nearly 250 vehicles and generating income close to 600,000 euros.
As the City Council continues its efforts to optimise resources and dispose of unused public assets, new calls for future auctions are anticipated. This not only represents an economic opportunity for citizens but also a step towards more efficient management of municipal heritage.
