A new era for small and medium enterprises
The Community of Madrid has taken a significant step towards business modernisation with the launch of AI4Pymes Madrid, an innovative platform that integrates Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools to optimise the daily management of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the region. This project, presented by the Digitalisation Councillor, Miguel López-Valverde, aims to democratise access to advanced technologies that can transform the way these businesses operate.
The inaugural event took place at the Bertelsmann Space, where a practical demonstration of the portal's functionality was conducted. During his speech, López-Valverde emphasised that “this programme is born with the vocation of bringing AI closer to Madrid's businesses, especially small and medium ones.” Its goal is clear: to make this technology accessible and useful for all businesses, regardless of their size or previous experience in the digital realm.
AI4Pymes Madrid is already available through the IndesIA website and offers a variety of tools specifically designed to assist SMEs. Among its features are:
- Intelligent data analysis: Allows businesses to gain valuable insights into their performance and market trends.
- Semi-automatic manager: Facilitates the identification and preparation of responses for public calls, ensuring that SMEs meet the necessary requirements.
- Automated grant system: Helps to locate, select, and apply for government aid more efficiently.
- Virtual assistant creator: Optimises document management and improves access to internal information.
In addition to these practical tools, AI4Pymes also includes a Programme for the Use and Application of Artificial Intelligence that began in February 2025. This programme provides comprehensive support to businesses interested in implementing AI-based projects. The initiative is part of a joint effort between the Digitalisation Department and IndesIA, funded by Next Generation funds from the Recovery, Transformation, and Resilience Plan.
As more small and medium enterprises adopt these advanced technologies, significant improvements in their operational efficiency are expected. The effective implementation of AI4Pymes could not only boost local economic growth but also position Madrid as a benchmark for business innovation within the European landscape.
