The first day of the papal visit will start with a minimum temperature of 18 degrees Celsius, rising to 31 degrees Celsius during the hottest hours. The skies will be mostly clear, allowing for a sunny and warm atmosphere. Atmospheric stability will be predominant, which could make the thermal sensation even higher during the day.
Sunday promises to be the hottest day of the weekend. Minimum temperatures will hover around 20 to 21 degrees Celsius, while highs could reach up to 34 degrees Celsius. With clear skies and no rain forecast, this stable weather will create an ideal environment for the scheduled events in central Madrid.
As the papal visit concludes on Monday, June 8, another episode of intense heat is anticipated. Weather conditions will remain similar to those on Sunday, with high temperatures throughout the day. Aemet has indicated that this persistent weather pattern will bring warm mornings and afternoons across the city.
Rubén del Campo, spokesperson for Aemet, has warned about the potential effects of extreme heat on the population.
