History Comes Alive: Military Collectibles Fair Celebrates 90 Years Since the Civil War

An event that brings history to life

This weekend, 18th and 19th April, Parla will become the epicentre of military collecting in Spain with the celebration of the No Solo Militaria fair. This event, to be held at La Torre Ciudad del Conductor, promises to be a unique experience for history enthusiasts and military material collectors.

With opening hours from 10:00 to 20:00 on Saturday and from 10:00 to 15:00 on Sunday, attendees will be able to enjoy over 7,000 square metres dedicated to exhibitions and live demonstrations. The location is easily accessible via exit 24 of the A-42 and offers 700 free parking spaces.

No Solo Militaria is not only a place to buy, sell, or trade items such as medals, uniforms, or specialised books; it will also feature groups dedicated to historical reenactment. These groups will provide an authentic insight into what life was like during that tumultuous period, as well as showcase static and moving military vehicles.

Under the motto “reviving our history,” this year will present an impressive collection of vehicles used during the Civil War. According to Alfonso Ruiz de Castro, vice president of the Don Rodrigo Foundation, the event organiser, visitors will be able to see iconic models such as the T-26, sent by the Soviet Union to the Republican side, as well as the famous Panzer I, known as ‘negrillos’, which supported the Nationalist side.

Apart from the historical interest this event generates, tickets are available as a donation to support the Don Rodrigo Foundation. Prices are very accessible: 7 euros for one day or 10 euros for both days, while children under 12 have free access. This initiative aims to foster interest in our history among new generations.
