A summer full of culture at the Castle of Alameda

The Spanish capital is preparing to welcome culture and entertainment lovers with ‘Las noches del castillo’, a cultural cycle that promises to transform Madrid's evenings. This event, held at the historic Castle of Alameda de Osuna, located in Barajas, offers a series of free nighttime activities that will run until 13 June.

Organised by the Barajas Municipal Board, this cycle aims to revitalise one of the few remaining examples of 15th-century military architecture in Madrid. The slogan ‘The day ends, the show begins’ reflects the event's intention: to provide a unique outdoor experience where attendees can enjoy art and culture under the stars.

The Castle has recently undergone a municipal investment of 1.6 million euros, aimed at improving its accessibility and renaturalising the surrounding park. This renovation not only beautifies the space but also makes it a more welcoming place for families and visitors.

The cycle will kick off with a highly anticipated performance: on Friday, 29 May at 22:00, the singer Esperanza Garrido, known for her participation as a finalist in La Voz Kids, will delight the audience with her flamenco art. This event is part of her AIEnRUTa-Flamencos tour.

Shortly after, on Saturday, 6 June, attendees will be able to enjoy a special outdoor cinema session featuring the family screening of Wonka. The event is scheduled for 22:00 and promises to be a hit with both children and adults.

No less exciting will be the show titled ‘Light & Magic’, scheduled for Friday, 12 June at 22:30. This presentation will be by the Asociación Circo Diverso, which will blend contemporary circus with music and LED juggling, offering an impressive visual experience.

Closing this cultural cycle, on Saturday, 13 June at 22:30, there will be a concert by the renowned musical group Caminero Cuarteto. This event is part of their AIEnRUTa-Jazz tour, promising to end this first edition of the festival on a high note.
