An Unprecedented Artistic Experience
The Spanish capital is gearing up to welcome Euphoria–Art is in the Air, an innovative exhibition that has captivated over 7 million people in iconic cities like New York, Paris, and London. This event, organised by the Balloon Museum, will open its doors on 28 March and will be available until 6 September, promising to transform the Escenario Puerta del Ángel into an interactive universe filled with inflatable art.
Visitors will be able to explore 14 large-scale installations that challenge the conventions of traditional art. Unlike conventional exhibitions, where observation is passive, here attendees are invited to touch, move, and experience each piece. This interaction not only offers a playful sense but also allows participants to become an active part of the artistic process.
Each installation has been created by renowned contemporary artists such as Philippe Parreno and Martin Creed, who have used inflatable materials along with vibrant lights and immersive sounds to provide multisensory experiences. The exhibition aims to evoke deep emotions through the play with air, a vital element that brings each work to life.
The term Euphoria, as explained by the organisers, encapsulates the very essence of this artistic proposal. The last three letters allude to air, symbolising the lightness and freedom that characterise the installations. Each room is designed to offer a unique perspective where geometry, light, and sound intertwine in an extraordinary visual spectacle.
Since its founding in 2021, the Balloon Museum has emerged as a global leader in the field of immersive contemporary art. Its innovative approach demonstrates that creativity knows no bounds; it can rise and float beyond the conventional. With Euphoria–Art is in the Air, Madrid once again becomes a cultural epicentre where art transcends physical barriers.
