The Town Hall of Pinto is starting rehabilitation work on the Town Hall, aiming to improve its aesthetics and functionality. The intervention is key to preserving this historic building.
The Town Hall of Pinto, an architectural symbol of the municipality, is undergoing meticulous rehabilitation aimed at restoring its main facade and reinforcing its structure. This project, driven by the Department of Housing and Presidency, addresses the damage accumulated over time and the weather conditions that have affected its original appearance. The work includes the sanitation of the current coverings, as well as the necessary waterproofing to prevent future problems such as dampness. The intervention will be completed with a new granite stone cladding for the base, which will not only enhance the building's aesthetics but also provide greater durability against external factors.
Councillor Rosario Mendoza highlighted the importance of this action: "The planned intervention on the base responds to the need to preserve and enhance one of the most emblematic buildings in our municipality." This statement underscores the Town Hall's commitment to preserving local heritage, a fundamental aspect of keeping the history and culture of Pinto alive.
In addition to this rehabilitation, Pinto is also progressing on other significant projects. The new headquarters of the Attention and Look at People Association (AMP) is nearing completion. Mayor Salomón Aguado recently visited the works alongside several deputy mayors to supervise the progress. This new facility will be located in the municipal building Miguel Ángel Blanco following an agreement signed between the Town Hall and AMP.
With a total investment of nearly 200,000 euros, the rooms dedicated to care and training for people with disabilities have been expanded to a total of 27 spaces. Additionally, significant improvements in accessibility are being made, including two new access points and a ramp to facilitate entry to the building. The bathrooms and dining area are also being remodelled to ensure an adequate environment for all users.
Such initiatives not only directly benefit citizens by providing better services, but also contribute to the social development of the municipality by fostering inclusive spaces where everyone can access without barriers.
