The City Council of Pinto will open registrations on September 1 for a course aimed at young people aged 17 to 25. The training, with a total of 150 hours, offers an official qualification to work in extracurricular activities.
On September 1, the City Council of Pinto will begin the registration process for a new Leisure Monitor Course, aimed at young people between 17 and 25 years. This training programme, which will run from October 5 to December 1, consists of 150 hours and will allow participants to obtain an official qualification valid throughout the country, opening doors for them to work in camps and extracurricular activities.
The initiative is driven by the Department of Education and Arts, under the direction of Verónica Castellano. The project has a total budget of 12,700 euros, partially funded by the City Council with 7,919.38 euros and by the Community of Madrid with 4,780.62 euros. Classes will be held on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays between 16:00 and 21:00 hours, combining theory and practice.
In addition to the theoretical content covering three modules —educational activities (60 hours), group processes (30 hours), and animation techniques (60 hours)— students will have the opportunity to participate in a practical outing during the weekend of November 21 and 22, where accommodation and meals will be covered.
The requirements for registration are to be at least 17 years old on the first day of the course, to be at least 18 years old when receiving the qualification, and to have a Secondary Education Certificate or equivalent. The registration period will be open from September 1 to 18, allowing for online registration.
It is worth noting that this type of training not only provides practical skills but also responds to a growing labour demand in the socio-cultural field. According to Castellano, “thanks to this course we offer our young people a highly valued job opportunity.”
