Over 450 judokas will gather in Móstoles from July 2 to 5 for the Judo Madrid Stage, featuring the participation of three world champions. This event reinforces the city's position as a sports reference.
The city of Móstoles will be the epicentre of national and international judo from July 2 to 5, 2026, when the thirteenth edition of the Judo Madrid ‘Villa de Móstoles’ Stage takes place. This event will bring together more than 450 athletes from not only various Spanish regions but also from abroad, promising an enriching cultural and sporting exchange. Among the notable participants are Audrey Tcheuméo, Jorge Fonseca, and Nemanja Majdov, all of whom are world champions and Olympic medallists, who will share their experience and knowledge with attendees.
The Paco Sedano sports centre will be the main venue where the scheduled activities will take place. Athletes will have access to specialised technical sessions in standing and ground judo, as well as intensive training that will include randoris and other dynamics designed to foster learning among judokas of different levels. The organisation is managed by the Judo Móstoles Association in collaboration with the local council, highlighting the commitment to promote this sport within the community.
Mayor Manuel Bautista expressed his satisfaction in hosting this event: “We are once again bringing to our city the judo event that is a reference at both national and international levels, surpassing ourselves each year as in this XIII edition we are proud to have three Olympic medallists and world champions.” This statement underscores not only the quality of the event but also the importance of Móstoles being recognised as European City of Sport 2026.
Audrey Tcheuméo is an iconic figure in women's judo; she is a double Olympic medallist and holds multiple European titles. Her presence will undoubtedly attract many sports fans.
