Start of the Season at Valdesquí

The Valdesquí ski resort has marked the start of its much-anticipated season this Saturday, December 27, offering winter sports enthusiasts 7.72 kilometres of skiable terrain. With a snow depth ranging from 20 to 40 centimetres, skiers can enjoy a unique experience on its 10 open slopes.

Among the available options, challenging slopes such as la Bola and El Tubo stand out, ideal for those seeking adrenaline. Additionally, various beginner slopes have been opened, allowing newcomers to skiing to enjoy the sport as well. To facilitate access to all these areas, the resort has six lifts, ensuring that every visitor can find a space suitable for their skill level.

Despite the successful start, Valdesquí's management has indicated that the opening of more slopes will depend on weather conditions. The resort is hopeful of opening new areas if snowfall continues in the coming days, which could further enrich the offerings for skiers.

To ensure a pleasant and safe experience, visitors are advised to use public transport. The resort offers a free shuttle bus from Cotos to Valdesquí, which not only facilitates access but also helps reduce traffic during the busiest days. Furthermore, it is recommended to keep an eye on weather forecasts before planning your visit, as this can directly influence the availability of new slopes.

As the season progresses, both amateurs and experts eagerly await the next snowfalls that could further transform the winter landscape. With a solid initial offering and positive expectations for future openings, Valdesquí is positioning itself as one of the preferred destinations for those looking to enjoy skiing this season.
