Scheduled Interruptions on the M-607
The M-607, one of the main arteries connecting Tres Cantos with Colmenar Viejo, will be affected by nighttime traffic closures from this Tuesday until Friday, November 17. These interruptions are part of a broader project aimed at expanding the road with a third lane, which promises to improve traffic flow in the long term.
The works will mainly take place between 10:00 PM and 6:00 AM, when traffic volume is lower. During these days, specific asphalt work will be carried out towards Madrid, covering the kilometre points from 25.500 to 23.800. To mitigate the impact on drivers, an alternative route will be enabled via exit 24 through Avenida del Parque.
Not only will the nights be marked by these works; there will also be lane narrowing during the day due to work related to the installation of metal barriers. These narrowings could cause temporary closures, especially on the exit ramp 24 from Tres Cantos towards Colmenar Viejo. However, buses from the Regional Transport Consortium of Madrid (CRTM) will be allowed to pass even if there are total interruptions.
Thursday, the 16th, will be a key day as a total closure of the exit and entry ramp 24 towards Madrid will be implemented during the same nighttime hours. This is necessary to complete the asphalt work on the braided lane. Additionally, both Thursday and Friday may see further narrowings and possible temporary closures on the entry ramp 25 towards Colmenar Viejo.
These interventions are part of the ambitious project to expand the M-607 to a third lane. Significant works such as platform widening and junction adjustments have already been carried out in previous phases. The current phase is focused on completing the necessary works to ensure smoother and safer traffic for all users.
Given the magnitude of these works, all drivers are advised to plan their routes in advance and consider alternatives to avoid setbacks during their usual journey. The General Directorate of Roads has urged users to pay attention to informative signs indicating diversions and temporary changes in routes.
