Ayuso raises alarm over potential electoral fraud in 2027 and calls for vigilance from the PP

The president of the Community of Madrid speaks out on the electoral future

Isabel Díaz Ayuso, president of the Community of Madrid, has called on her party, the Popular Party (PP), to maintain a vigilant stance against what she considers a potential electoral fraud in the 2027 elections. During a recent intervention, Ayuso urged PP members to be "attentive" and to ensure that there is party representation at all polling stations, in order to guarantee the transparency of the electoral process.

This warning comes after a letter sent by Alfonso Serrano, general secretary of the Madrid PP, which alerted about the risks associated with the migration regularisation promoted by the Government of Pedro Sánchez. Ayuso expressed her doubts about how this measure could affect the electoral roll and questioned: "With what guarantees and with what rigor is the Spanish card being issued?" These statements reflect her distrust towards the intentions of the central Government.

Ayuso is no stranger to her criticisms of the mass regularisation process. On previous occasions, she had already expressed her concern about how these policies could influence electoral outcomes. The regional president hinted that this move coincides with a critical moment for the governing coalition, suggesting it could be a strategy to alter the political landscape in favour of the Government.

From her perspective, Ayuso believes that this process could result in a significant alteration of the seats obtained by the PP in the Community of Madrid, estimating up to ten seats at risk due to these demographic changes. This assertion underscores the existing tension between the Government's migration policies and the electoral strategies of the Popular Party.

As the elections approach, these warnings highlight a tense political climate filled with uncertainties. The president has made it clear that she does not fully trust the actions taken from Moncloa and has asked her party to be prepared for any eventuality during the upcoming electoral process.
