This salary improvement will apply to major events such as Patron Saint Festivals, Holy Week, Carnival, and Halloween, benefiting all workers regardless of professional category. This change is significant as it seeks to acknowledge the extra effort that public employees make during critical moments of the local festive calendar. “A recognition of the special effort, availability, and temporary renunciation of work-life balance that public employees make during these critical dates,” union representatives stated after signing the agreement. The new compensation will come into effect once it is approved in the City Council Plenary, with no set deadline for its validity.
