A confrontation between family clans in Puente de Vallecas culminated in the death of a young woman and at least three injuries. The police have arrested four people involved in the incident.

A violent fight between two family clans in Puente de Vallecas turned tragic last Sunday when a woman lost her life after being stabbed in the lung. The incident, which occurred around 8:30 PM on Puerto Alto street, also left three other people injured, two of them with serious injuries. The situation prompted a significant police deployment to control the tension in the area.

The disturbances began with insults and threats between members of both clans, quickly escalating into a physical confrontation involving bladed weapons. According to police sources, the alleged perpetrator of the stabbing is a 65-year-old woman, who was arrested along with three others after the attack. This woman also suffered a cut on her arm during the brawl and was taken to Hospital 12 de Octubre under police custody.

The deceased victim was identified as part of the rival clan and was taken to Gregorio Marañón Hospital, where doctors were unable to save her life. This tragic outcome provoked heartbreaking scenes among the relatives present at the medical centre.

In light of the incident, authorities decided to mobilise the Prevention and Reaction Unit (UPR) to ensure the safety of relatives who gathered at the hospital. Additionally, the Police Intervention Unit (UIP) was deployed to control any potential further altercations due to the tense atmosphere in the area.

The Scientific Police are conducting thorough investigations on the ground to collect evidence and testimonies that will help clarify how these violent events unfolded. So far, several witnesses have been interrogated who may shed light on what happened.

Such incidents are not new in Vallecas; a few years ago, another similar confrontation resulted in multiple injuries and a large police deployment. However, what occurred this weekend has raised alarms about the growing violence among family groups in this area.

As the investigation progresses, authorities urge anyone with relevant information about the case to come forward and cooperate with law enforcement. The local community is concerned about this increase in violence and is hoping for swift answers to restore public safety.
