This type of crime, which involves breaking shop windows with manhole covers, has become increasingly common among local criminals. The events took place during the early hours of August 5, when police officers observed an individual displaying suspicious behaviour and carrying a torn plastic bag. When they attempted to identify him, the man fled, initiating a chase through several streets of the municipality. During his run, the suspect discarded several black garments and threw away the bag he was carrying before hiding under a parked van. The officers recovered the bag and found inside cash, a laptop, and professional hairdressing materials, including hair clippers and hair products. Additionally, they found black socks that may have been used during the robbery. After inspecting the area, the police located the affected barber's shop with its window completely shattered and found a manhole cover on the nearby pavement, presumably used to commit the crime. In light of the evidence gathered, the officers proceeded to arrest the suspect for burglary with force. He was subsequently taken to police custody and made available to the judicial authorities for further investigations. Such robberies have notably increased in various Spanish towns; according to recent data from the Ministry of the Interior, burglaries with force have risen by 15% compared to the previous year. The local community is concerned about this criminal trend and is hoping for more effective measures to ensure their safety.
