Successful operation by the Civil Guard in Alpedrete
The Civil Guard has carried out a significant operation in Alpedrete, Madrid, resulting in the dismantling of a drug selling point. This operation was initiated thanks to complaints from local residents, who had noticed an unusual increase in the influx of people and vehicles around a specific house.
As a result of the operation, two men, one aged 31 and the other 35, were arrested on suspicion of being involved in drug trafficking activities. Both individuals have been formally charged with a public health offence and have been remanded in custody following their appearance before the judge.
The investigation began in March after several neighbours alerted authorities about the constant suspicious movement at the property. The complaints indicated that many vehicles were parking in front of the housing complex, hindering access for residents. This information led officers to conduct thorough surveillance of the area.
Throughout the monitoring, investigators observed a clear pattern: numerous people visited the property for brief periods, which is characteristic of illicit trafficking. Additionally, it was discovered that one of the detainees led a lavish lifestyle and used several luxury cars for his activities.
One of the arrested individuals had rented an industrial unit, where he stored his vehicles to avoid being identified by authorities. This method allowed him to alternate between different cars in order to complicate police tracking.
In the final phase of the operation, searches were conducted both at the residence and at the industrial unit associated with the detainees. Officers found approximately 70 grams of cocaine, 40 grams of hashish, as well as over 3,000 euros in cash. A vehicle and relevant documentation related to the illegal transactions were also seized.
Among the recovered materials were accounting documents detailing sales made during the first months of the year. These records indicated operations close to 50,000 euros, highlighting the scale of the illegal business operated from this residence.
