Israel C.R. has been found guilty of the homicide of Francisco de Pablo, whose body was discovered in 2024 after more than two years of searching. The sentence was announced today at the Provincial Court.
A jury delivered its verdict on Wednesday, finding Israel C.R. guilty of the homicide of young Francisco de Pablo Páez, who disappeared in March 2022 and whose body was found more than two years later, buried on a property in Aldea del Fresno. The decision was made during a public hearing held at the Provincial Court of Madrid, where Fernando R.P. was also found guilty of concealment.
The jury's spokesperson read the verdict, which includes the mitigating factor of drug addiction for Israel C.R., which could influence the length of his sentence. The prosecution has requested a sentence of 12 years for him and one year and six months for Fernando R.P., who admitted to helping conceal the body but denied any direct involvement in the crime.
