An instructor at a summer camp in Arroyomolinos has been dismissed and is under investigation for alleged sexual assaults on two girls. Families are demanding answers following the alarming incident.
The Guardia Civil has launched an investigation after receiving reports of alleged sexual assaults on two girls, aged three and seven, at a municipal summer camp located in the Legazpi public school in Arroyomolinos. The implicated instructor, who was hired by a private company awarded the service, was dismissed immediately after the facts became known. This individual had begun his work just a week before the incident. The reports were made over the weekend, although authorities do not rule out the possibility of more related cases emerging. The alleged assaults occurred on July 9, but families were not informed until July 17, when two camp workers alerted the parents after finding the minors naked with the instructor in a bathroom. Despite the seriousness of the discovery, the camp management opted to reassign the worker to another position without activating appropriate protocols or informing the parents. It was only after pressure from the families that the necessary procedures to address potential crimes against sexual freedom were activated. Consequently, the minors were taken to a medical centre for examination. Testimonies collected indicate that one of the girls had shown reluctance to attend the camp and participate in water activities, which her parents now associate with the incident. Additionally, other mothers have reported similar situations with their daughters, suggesting a concerning pattern in the behaviour of the investigated instructor. The camp accommodates around a hundred children aged between three and twelve from various municipalities in the southwest of Madrid. To advance the investigation, several workers have been summoned to testify before the Guardia Civil while efforts are made to locate the accused instructor.
