The minors, aged between three and seven, are said to have been victims of a monitor who was dismissed last Friday by the event's organising company. This incident has raised significant concern among parents, who learned of the case over the weekend from other parents.
The camp, which hosts nearly a hundred children aged between three and twelve, takes place at the public school Legazpi. According to the complaints filed, the assaults occurred on July 9. However, parents were not informed until July 17, which has sparked outrage among them. "It is outrageous that parents were not informed about such a serious matter," expressed one of the affected parents.
The camp workers who discovered the situation reported that they found the two girls naked with the monitor in a bathroom. Despite the alarming discovery, the camp's management apparently downplayed the seriousness of the matter and chose to move the monitor to another area instead of notifying the authorities or adequately informing the parents.
After learning what had happened, several parents went to the school to demand explanations regarding the alleged concealment of the incident. They subsequently contacted the Local Police and the Civil Guard to report what had occurred. The minors have been taken to a medical centre for examination as part of the established protocol for such cases.
Despite their young age, the girls have begun to recount details about the alleged assaults. One minor mentioned that the monitor had his trousers down during the incidents and expressed: "He hurt us," adding that she tried to push him away.
A mother also revealed that her daughter had previously expressed a desire not to attend the camp or participate in water activities; she now believes she has found the reason behind this reluctance.
The accounts indicate that the monitor was playing with the girls, simulating a spider while running his fingers along their legs and moving towards their intimate areas. This information has led other parents to investigate whether their children also had inappropriate interactions with the accused worker.
The agents have summoned several camp employees this Monday to take their statements while continuing to search for the monitor involved in these serious accusations. It is known that this individual had only been working there for a week before being immediately dismissed upon the allegations coming to light. Parents are speaking with their children to determine if any had direct contact with him during his brief time at the camp.
