A crime that shocked the community

The Provincial Court of Madrid has begun a trial that promises to be one of the most shocking of the year, related to the shooting murder of a 19-year-old young man in Alcorcón. The events occurred in October 2022, following a brawl at the Diverso nightclub, where violence erupted, resulting not only in the death of the young man known as ‘Bori’, but also several injuries.

Three men are on trial, facing serious charges that could lead them to spend up to 55 years behind bars. The Public Prosecutor's Office has filed charges of murder and two attempted murders, in addition to an additional crime related to illegal possession of firearms for one of the defendants. Meanwhile, the defenses have opted to seek acquittal for two of them, while the lawyer for the material author of the crime proposes a reduced sentence of seven years for homicide, citing mitigating factors such as alcoholism and drug addiction.

The fateful events began around 5:30 a.m. on October 2. After a massive fight outside the nightclub, the accused decided to seek revenge against two young men involved in the dispute. Aware of the danger their actions posed, they drove to Torres Bellas with the clear intention of ending their lives.

Approximately fifteen minutes later, they located their victims walking unsuspectingly. At that moment, armed and shouting threatening orders such as “shoot him” and “kill him,” they began firing at them from behind. Despite a desperate attempt to flee, ‘Bori’ was hit by at least seven bullets; one of the shots struck him directly in the shoulder, causing him to fall to the ground.

In a brutally calculated act, one of the accused approached ‘Bori’ when he was already defenseless and shot him in the head at close range. This attack proved fatal: the young man suffered severe cranioencephalic trauma that cost him his life shortly after. The other two young men involved managed to escape unharmed but were forever marked by this traumatic experience.

Following the shooting, the three men have been in preventive detention since October 8 of the same year. The Prosecutor's Office has emphasized that none of them had a license to carry firearms, which further aggravates their legal situation. The family of the deceased has expressed their pain over what happened and demands justice for their loved one.
