Injuries and Returns Mark Bayern's Build-Up
The Bayern Munich finds itself in a complicated situation as it approaches its Champions League clash against Real Madrid. This Saturday, the team will be without its star, forward Harry Kane, who suffered an ankle injury during his time with the England national team. Kane's absence is a significant blow to Bayern's ambitions, especially considering he is one of the team's top scorers.
In a recent press conference, Bayern's coach, Vincent Kompany, confirmed that Kane will not be available for the match against Freiburg in the Bundesliga. However, he expressed an optimistic tone regarding the possibility of the forward recovering in time for the crucial match on Tuesday in Madrid. "He won't be available tomorrow," Kompany stated, but added: "I am hopeful about his participation at the Bernabéu."
Despite Kane's absence, there is good news for Bayern fans. The first-choice goalkeeper Manuel Neuer, who has been out since early March due to a minor muscle tear in his left calf, has been declared fit by his coach. "Manu is at a hundred percent," Kompany assured, which represents a considerable relief for the team's defence.
Not only Neuer is returning to the team; Jonas Urbig, the backup goalkeeper who had to leave the German national team due to a minor capsular injury in his knee, is also back. Additionally, other players like Jamal Musiala, Alphonso Davies, and Aleksandar Pavlovic have overcome their respective issues and are available again. This gives Kompany more tactical options as he prepares to face Real Madrid.
Kompany expressed caution regarding how he will manage the minutes and starting positions of these recovered players: "As for the minutes and who can start at a hundred percent, we will see." The strategy will be key if they want to emerge victorious against one of the biggest clubs in the world.
