A match marked by tension and fear
The promotion final to Primera RFEF between Poblense and Águilas became a scene of anguish and concern when, in the 21st minute, an unfortunate play left Poblense player, Toni Penyafort, lying on the ground after receiving a heavy blow to the face.
The incident occurred when Antonio Sánchez, defender of Águilas, attempted to contest a loose ball with a raised leg. The impact was directly to Penyafort's face, prompting the referee to show Sánchez a direct red card. The decision was immediate and reflected the seriousness of the situation.
From that moment on, the minutes became eternal for the players and fans present. Medical attention arrived on the field, but not without difficulties; several Poblense players had to help transport the medical team to where their teammate was. Despite the initial scare and concerns about Penyafort's health, who was transported conscious to Inca hospital for medical evaluation, Águilas celebrated their promotion to Primera RFEF after a nail-biting victory.
