An Event that Marks the Equestrian Calendar
The Spanish capital is gearing up to host one of the most anticipated events in the equestrian world: the Longines Global Champions Tour, which will take place from 15th to 17th May 2026. This prestigious circuit, known as the ‘Formula 1 of Equestrianism’, turns the Club de Campo Villa de Madrid into a hub for sports enthusiasts and socialising.
The event is not only a sporting occasion but also a unique social experience. With tickets starting at 17 euros, attendees will be able to enjoy not only the thrilling competitions but also various recreational activities. The venue will feature gastronomic areas, including food trucks, and renowned brands such as Mahou and Marqués de Riscal will offer culinary proposals that will delight visitors.
Throughout the weekend, around 140 riders will compete in over 230 rounds, vying for a share of the impressive total prize exceeding one million euros. The event will culminate on Sunday with the Grand Prix, where competitors will face challenging obstacles reaching up to 1.60 meters. Additionally, on Saturday, the S.M. el Rey Cup – Caser Grupo Helvetia Trophy will be held, while the opening day will be marked by the Global Champions League.
Coinciding with the local festivities for San Isidro, this family event promises to attract more than 20,000 attendees. Specific activities have been designed for children in the Pony Park, where they can interact with horses and participate in workshops and games. This initiative aims to bring new generations closer to the fascinating equestrian world.
Not everything will be competition; the festive atmosphere will be enhanced by live concerts on the Mahou stage and various commercial activations inviting attendees to participate and interact throughout the weekend.
