A 46-year-old man has been arrested for stabbing a 22-year-old Ecuadorian in Latina. The victim was taken to hospital with serious injuries following the attack that occurred in the early hours of Friday.
A violent attack took place in San Isidro park, located in the Madrid district of Latina, where a 22-year-old Ecuadorian was stabbed during the early hours of 31 July 2026. The assault occurred around 02:30 hours, when several witnesses alerted the National Police about the incident. The officers patrolling the area responded quickly and found the young man injured in the street, with a serious wound to his right hemithorax.
Emergency services, specifically the Samur-Civil Protection medical team, arrived at the scene to assist the victim. After stabilising him, he was transported to a hospital as a potentially serious patient. To ensure his swift access to the hospital, Municipal Police escorted the ambulance during its journey.
Amid the police deployment, the officers began a search of the surrounding area and soon located the alleged perpetrator of the attack. He is a 46-year-old Spanish man, who had blood stains on his clothing. This individual was arrested as a suspect in the stabbing.
Additionally, near the location where the suspect was detained, police found a butterfly knife that could be linked to the attack.
