A judicial victory for Real Madrid

At a crucial moment for the club, which is going through a challenging season on the pitch, the Provincial Court of Madrid has decided to dismiss the complaint against Real Madrid C. F. and its general director, José Ángel Sánchez, related to the concerts held at the iconic Santiago Bernabéu. This ruling is a relief for the institution, which had been dealing with accusations of alleged acoustic irregularities during these events.

The judge in charge of the case determined that neither the club nor its executive is responsible for the violations related to noise levels. According to the club's official statement, it was concluded that the companies responsible for organising the concerts must ensure compliance with regulations on noise pollution. This means that any sound-related issues do not fall directly on Real Madrid.

Although this ruling does not imply an immediate return to musical programming at the stadium, it does open the door to future performances. The club now has the opportunity to require artists and their promoters to adhere to specific noise limits, which could prevent further complaints from local associations.

Aside from the judicial victory, legislative support is expected from the Government of the Community of Madrid. The administration led by Isabel Díaz Ayuso is working on a legal reform to protect events considered of "great regional interest," which could benefit not only the Santiago Bernabéu but also other venues like the Metropolitano and Ifema.

Under this new regulation, concerts at the Bernabéu are expected to be limited to approximately 15 per year, all featuring internationally recognised artists. In this regard, there are already discussions between the club and major promoters to reactivate the musical agenda of the stadium. The possibility of hosting figures like Taylor Swift has even been mentioned, who could be a main attraction if a suitable framework for these events can be established.
