A new educational opportunity in Madrid
The Community of Madrid has taken a significant step towards the training and support of young students with the launch of the Madrid Campus 365 programme. This project, which will begin on July 6, aims to transform university residences into active spaces during the summer, offering a unique combination of accommodation and educational activities.
With a total of 38 university residences involved, the programme is designed for young people aged between 16 and 35. Participants will have the option to choose from various courses ranging from urban art to photography and new technologies. This variety will not only enrich their learning but also allow them to have a first experience of university life in Madrid.
One of the standout aspects of Madrid Campus 365 is its focus on accessibility. The Minister of Education, Science and Universities, Mercedes Zarzalejo, has confirmed that the fees are very competitive: the training courses will cost just 30 euros, while the complete package that includes accommodation will be offered at affordable prices of 50 euros for students and 75 euros for family members.
Aside from the educational focus, this programme also allows family members to accompany students during their stay. Up to 4,000 places will be available, meaning many can enjoy this enriching experience together. However, it is important to note that the stay for family members will not be subsidised by public funds.
Zarzalejo has emphasised the importance of the programme as a “soft landing” for those young people interested in continuing their studies in Madrid. With such initiatives, it is hoped to promote not only formal education but also a smoother integration into university life.
