A new horizon for renting in Pinto
This Tuesday, the Community of Madrid marked a significant milestone by handing over the keys to 422 homes from the innovative Vive Plan, an initiative aimed at facilitating access to rental housing. The event took place in Pinto, where the regional president, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, along with the local mayor, Salomón Aguado, celebrated this advancement, bringing the total number of homes delivered under this programme to 5,785.
Díaz Ayuso defended the importance of the collaboration model between the public and private sectors during her speech, arguing that without legal security and tax incentives, it is impossible to increase the housing supply or balance market prices. The recent promotion has attracted nearly 38 million euros in private investment, demonstrating the potential of this approach.
Through the Vive Plan, around 15,000 young people and families have found a new opportunity to settle down. “Today marks the beginning of 422 new life projects,” Ayuso stated, highlighting how this initiative is being replicated by other administrations both within and outside the country due to its success.
The development located on Isaac Albéniz Street offers a variety of options: from 221 one-bedroom flats to 28 three-bedroom homes. Monthly prices range from 450 to 830 euros, depending on the size of the property. Additionally, 17 units have been adapted for people with reduced mobility.
Not only Pinto benefits; the residential plan has a special focus on the metropolitan south, where it is expected to exceed 4,500 available properties. So far, more than 5,700 homes have been delivered in locations such as Alcorcón and Getafe, while other developments are underway in municipalities like Navalcarnero and Aranjuez.
Díaz Ayuso also emphasized that since 2019, Madrid has concentrated more than 40% of all protected housing built in Spain. With ambitious plans to promote over 70,000 protected homes during this legislative term, it is expected to create more than 18,000 new protected homes in the next four years.
