A Night of Terror in the Capital
The tranquility of the Madrid night was interrupted by a series of assaults that left two young men seriously injured. In less than three hours, emergency services attended to the victims in Carabanchel and Usera, where the use of knives sparked panic among residents.
The first incident occurred around 3:00 AM, when an 18-year-old was stabbed on Caminos Viejo de Leganés. Samur-PC teams quickly arrived at the scene and found the young man with a penetrating wound to his left hemithorax. After receiving immediate medical attention, he was transferred to Hospital 12 de Octubre, where his condition is considered serious.
It wasn't long before another stabbing was reported. At 5:40 AM, emergency services were alerted about a man lying on the ground, bleeding profusely after being attacked with a machete on Antonio Salvador Street, 62. This second victim was also stabilized and taken to the same hospital as his predecessor, facing a critical situation.
Authorities have taken action; the National Police are conducting investigations to clarify both incidents. So far, no hypotheses regarding the motives behind these violent attacks have been ruled out. The local community is alarmed at the possibility that these acts may be part of a broader pattern.
As investigations progress, residents are being urged to remain calm and report any suspicious activity. Local authorities have emphasized the importance of cooperation between citizens and law enforcement to prevent future violent incidents.
