A violent attack shakes the Madrid night
In a worrying incident that has shocked the Villaverde district, a young man of approximately 20 years was stabbed at the Renfe station of Puente Alcocer. The assault occurred around 00:15 hours on Sunday, when emergency services received the alert and quickly mobilised to the scene.
Samur-Civil Protection teams arrived at the scene and found the young man with multiple stab wounds, notably at least two stab wounds to the back. After initial care at the site, the medics managed to stabilise him before transferring him to a nearby hospital, where he was admitted in critical condition.
The Municipal Police accompanied the medical services to ensure a swift and safe transfer of the injured. Meanwhile, the National Police have launched an investigation to clarify the circumstances surrounding this violent attack and to locate the perpetrator or perpetrators.
As the investigation progresses, residents of the area express their concern over such incidents. The lack of information regarding the origin of the attack and whether any suspects are in custody has heightened tension among the neighbours, who are demanding greater security on their streets.
