The complex, internationally known as Madrid Deep Space Communications Complex, is part of the Deep Space Network and operates under the direction of the National Institute of Aerospace Technology (INTA) in collaboration with NASA. With six enormous antennas, including one that is 70 meters tall and several smaller ones, this center has been crucial for tracking missions to Mars and other parts of the Solar System. In April 2024, it successfully captured weak signals from Voyager 1 simultaneously at over 24 billion kilometers away.
