A devastating incident in Fuenlabrada
Thursday night turned tragic in the town of Fuenlabrada, where a traffic accident has left one fatality and three people with serious injuries. The incident occurred around 21:37 on the M-506 road, specifically at kilometre 12.
According to preliminary reports, the vehicle carrying four young people veered off the road, crashing into the side barriers before rolling over several times. The force of the impact was such that one of the occupants, a young man of just 25 years, suffered multiple traumas that proved fatal.
Emergency services, including SUMMA112, quickly arrived at the scene. Despite efforts to revive the young man trapped inside the car, there was no chance of saving him. Medical teams had to work hard to free both the deceased and another occupant who had been seriously injured.
The other three young people were taken to Madrid hospitals with severe injuries. One of them has sustained severe traumatic brain injury, which has led to his intubation and transfer to the Hospital 12 de Octubre in critical condition. Another young man also suffered moderate traumatic brain injury and was taken to the Puerta de Hierro Hospital as potentially serious. Finally, a 25-year-old woman was transferred to the same hospital with injuries deemed serious.
As a result of the accident, the M-506 had to be closed for several hours while firefighters worked to rescue the victims and investigations were carried out. The Civil Guard is conducting an investigation to determine the exact causes of the incident.
This tragic event highlights the importance of exercising caution while driving, especially at night. Authorities urge all drivers to remain vigilant and adhere to traffic regulations to prevent similar tragedies.
