Necessary Works for Better Service
This weekend, users of Line 3 of the Madrid Metro should prepare for significant changes in their transport routine. From Friday 6th to Sunday 8th, train services will be interrupted between the stations of Sol and Moncloa. This interruption is due to essential maintenance and renewal works aimed at ensuring the safety and reliability of the service.
Despite the closure, travellers will not be left stranded. The metropolitan company has arranged a free special bus service that will operate between Moncloa and Callao, maintaining the same schedule as the metro. This effort aims to minimise the inconvenience caused by the works and facilitate travel during these days.
The scheduled works include the renewal of the track superstructure at Plaza de España, as well as in the tunnel connecting this station with Ventura Rodríguez. According to official sources, these tasks are "essential" to extend the lifespan of the railway system and improve operational conditions.
Aside from the replacement service, users can opt for other alternatives. The affected stations have connections to different metro lines, allowing for the reorganisation of routes without too much complication. However, it is important to note that Ventura Rodríguez is an exception and does not offer direct connections.
To ensure a smooth transition during this period, Metro has decided to reinforce its staff at all involved stations. This will allow travellers to receive updated information about their transport options and resolve any questions that may arise during their journey.
Don't forget to check the official channels for instant information on any changes or updates related to the service. The official website, mobile app, and social media will be your best allies for planning your travels this weekend.
