A night of chaos in San Blas
In the early hours of Sunday, the Madrid district of San Blas was shaken by a violent brawl that left three people injured by stabbing. The incident occurred around 01:40 on Aquitania Street, specifically at number 40, and has raised concerns among local residents.
According to reports from Emergencias Madrid, the clash erupted between two rival gangs. As a result, two young men, aged 23 and 24, suffered penetrating injuries to their ribcage. Emergency services, including members of Samur-Civil Protection, quickly arrived at the scene to attend to the injured. One of them was urgently transported to Hospital Universitario La Paz, while the other was taken to Hospital Universitario 12 de Octubre.
Not only the young men were affected; a 36-year-old man from the opposing side also sustained injuries during the fight. This individual suffered minor cuts on two fingers of his right hand and was treated at Hospital General Universitario Gregorio Marañón. Despite the severity of the incident, his condition is not life-threatening.
The Municipal Police have opened an investigation to clarify the circumstances surrounding this violent episode. So far, no arrests have been made in connection with the case. However, such incidents once again highlight the growing problem of gang violence in Madrid.
As authorities continue to investigate what happened, local residents express their unease over a phenomenon that seems to be increasing in frequency and severity. The community is seeking answers and effective measures to ensure their safety.
