An attack that shocks the community
The tranquility of Alcalá de Henares was abruptly interrupted on April 19, when a violent incident left two minors injured. This attack, which has generated a wave of concern among residents, involved members of rival youth gangs and culminated in the arrest of four youths allegedly linked to the gang known as the Trinitarios.
According to police reports, the attack occurred in a park located on Dulcinea Street. The assailants, armed with knives and machetes, ambushed their victims after a previous argument that had taken place on social media. The outcome was devastating: a 15-year-old suffered multiple stab wounds to the back and buttocks, while another 16-year-old sustained less severe but equally concerning injuries.
The National Police carried out the arrests on Wednesday, April 29, thanks to a thorough investigation that included witness testimonies and footage obtained from security cameras. The four arrested youths are aged between 17 and 20 and are all Spanish with Dominican and Colombian roots. They face serious charges of attempted homicide and assault with a deadly weapon.
One of the detainees had previously been arrested for crimes related to violent activities associated with his gang.
