The Community of Madrid has welcomed the recent judicial decision to dismiss the complaint against Real Madrid, thus allowing conversations between the club and local residents to resume. This ruling, issued by the Section 3 of the Provincial Court of Madrid, is seen as an opportunity to restore normalcy at the iconic stadium.
The regional government spokesperson, Miguel Ángel García Martín, expressed hope that this decision would act as a catalyst for an agreement between the club and the neighbours. “It is essential that both parties reach an understanding that respects current regulations as well as the residents' need for rest,” Martín stated. Neighbours have expressed concerns not only about the noise generated during events but also about cleanliness in the areas surrounding the stadium.
As a result of the court ruling, it has been determined that it is the concert promoters, and not the club, who must take responsibility for any violations related to noise levels. This leaves José Ángel Sánchez, the general director of Real Madrid, without blame in this matter, which has been well received by the regional administration.
Despite the relief generated by this legal resolution, not everything is calm within the club. In a surprising press conference held recently, Florentino Pérez, president of Real Madrid, announced his intention to run for re-election and openly criticised certain media outlets. Although this appearance has sparked various opinions, the Community chose not to comment on it directly.
