Mayor Salomón Aguado has confirmed the opening of a bridge in July and a health centre in 2027, improving local infrastructure. These projects will benefit thousands of residents.
The city of Pinto is preparing to receive significant improvements to its infrastructure. The mayor, Salomón Aguado, from the Popular Party, has announced that the new bridge over the C-3 Cercanías line, located on Isaac Albéniz Street, will open next month in July. This project is part of an effort to reduce road traffic in the La Tenería neighbourhood and facilitate smoother circulation throughout the locality.
The bridge will divert heavy traffic that currently crosses La Tenería via Antonio López and Manuel de Falla streets towards the M-506 and M-408 roads, thus easing access to Fuenlabrada and Parla. With a total investment of 2 million euros, this infrastructure is being executed by Pavasal Empresa Constructora SA.
In addition to the bridge, Aguado has also revealed that the construction of the long-awaited third health centre in La Tenería will be completed in the fourth quarter of 2026. This new establishment will open its doors in the first quarter of 2027 and will provide medical care to approximately 15,000 residents, including 2,800 children. The centre will feature ten consultations for family doctors and another ten for nursing, as well as three paediatric consultations.
The design of the centre also includes two dental consultations, one consultation for a dental hygienist, midwife, and physiotherapy. Additionally, there will be rooms dedicated to breastfeeding and psychoprophylaxis, along with a room for extractions. The facilities will be equipped for emergencies and minor outpatient surgery.
These initiatives are part of the City Council's commitment to improving public services available to citizens. Compared to previous years when Pinto lacked sufficient medical centres to cater to its growing population, this new centre represents a significant step towards more accessible healthcare.
Aguado has emphasised that "residents will finally have this long-awaited resource available during this legislature," which is seen as a crucial step towards the overall improvement of community well-being.
