A fire devastates three homes in Morata de Tajuña
This Tuesday, the quiet town of Morata de Tajuña, located in the Community of Madrid, was shaken by a fire that resulted in the collapse of three single-family homes. The incident occurred around 3:00 PM on Vía Street, where several vehicles were also consumed by the flames.
Following a call received by 112, several fire brigade units were dispatched to the scene to tackle what was described as a highly intense fire. Upon arrival, firefighters found a critical situation: the flames had gained strength and threatened to spread to other properties. Fortunately, there were no people inside the affected homes at the time of the collapse.
Despite the impact of the incident, no injuries or people trapped in the rubble were reported. However, as a precautionary measure, medical personnel from Summa 112 also attended the scene, although their intervention was not necessary. Local authorities have urged nearby residents to keep doors and windows closed due to the smoke generated by the fire.
The causes of this devastating fire are still under investigation. It is suspected that it may have started in one of the vehicles parked in the area. The Town Hall has indicated that the incident occurred near the local school, which has raised concerns among residents about safety in the area.
As investigations progress to determine how the fire started and what measures could have been taken to prevent it, the community remains vigilant for any updates. Authorities have promised to keep citizens informed about the findings and relevant recommendations.
