An alarming robbery in the early hours of Madrid
In the early hours of last Monday, a violent robbery shook the tranquility of the San Blas district in Madrid. Two armed and determined individuals burst into a petrol station located on Sofía Street, unleashing panic among the staff and causing significant damage to the establishment.
The incident occurred around 03:15 hours, when one of the robbers, hooded and wielding a sledgehammer, began to strike forcefully at the office windows. Their goal was clear: to gain access to the interior and seize the cash from the register. After breaking the windows, they managed to enter and steal approximately 600 euros in cash.
Not only did they take the money; the robbery left a trail of destruction in its wake. The material damages are estimated to be around 3,000 euros, mainly due to the broken windows and other damages inside the premises. Despite this excessive violence, the petrol station was able to resume operations shortly after the incident, although not without difficulties.
This robbery adds to a series of similar incidents that have affected this establishment in the past. The recurrence of such acts has raised growing concerns among business owners and local residents about safety in their area. The feeling of vulnerability to such criminal acts is palpable.
The San Blas police station has taken charge of the investigation to identify and locate the two individuals involved in this robbery. Authorities are working hard to clarify what happened and to prevent future incidents that could endanger both traders and customers.
