A total of 325 trainee guards have joined the Civil Guard in Madrid to complete their training. This measure aims to improve security in the region, where there are already more than 4,000 personnel.
The Command of the Civil Guard in Madrid has welcomed 325 new agents who will integrate into various units to complete their practical training. These trainee guards, who began their internship period on 29 June, have previously passed a rigorous selection process and an academic course of 40 weeks. Over the next 40 weeks, these young individuals will work in territorial units dedicated to public safety, adapting their learning to the operational needs of the moment.
Of the 325 agents assigned to the Community of Madrid, 110 women stand out, representing a significant advance towards greater diversity within the force. In total, 263 agents will be distributed across different posts in the region, while another 62 will join the Protection and Security Unit (Seprose). This increase is part of a broader promotion that includes 3,123 trainee guards undergoing internships nationwide.
The official event to introduce these new personnel took place in Boadilla del Monte and was attended by the Government Delegate in Madrid, Francisco Martín, who emphasized that "the new agents will significantly contribute to strengthening security in our region." This reinforcement is particularly relevant as, for the first time, the total number of personnel in the Madrid Command will exceed 4,000, marking an important milestone for local law enforcement.
At the national level, this new promotion incorporates 390 more guards than the previous year, when a total of 2,733 agents began their internships. The newcomers mainly come from two institutions: the Baeza Guard Academy and the Valdemoro Young Guards School.
